Amazon Launches "Fire TV Stick"

Amazon is now taking pre-orders for their new Amazon Fire TV Stick ($39), a device that is positioned to compete with the Google's ChromeCast ($35) and Roku's Streaming Stick ($49). It appears to support most of the features of Amazon's Fire TV Set Top Box ($99), although it has a different processor and GPU. It also has no USB port for media (the micro USB is for power only) and no Audio out or ethernet port. While it has no memory expansion capability like the Fire TV Box, it has 8 GB of internal memory VS the set top box's 1 GB internal memory.

From the Amazon Website:
Fire TV Stick connects your HDTV to a world of online entertainment. Whether you're a Prime member or not, enjoy a huge selection of movies and TV episodes, voice search that actually works, and exclusive features like ASAP. Fire TV Stick is an easy way to enjoy Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, low-cost movie rentals, live and on-demand sports, music, photos, games, and more. Due to popular demand, orders placed today are expected to arrive after January 1, 2015. See delivery date at checkout. This item will be released on November 19th.
